My name is Rick Franklin and I will be one of the Assistant Coaches for the 12u Space Coast Mavericks. I've lived in Brevard County for 30 years now. I'm 22 years into a career in Law Enforcement for the State of Florida. I played Little League Baseball in my youth through my 12 year old season. After that I decided to stop playing baseball and focus on other avenues in my life. I've coached my son John in West Melbourne Little League for 5 years now and I was a coach for him the past 2 years for the 10u/11u Space Coast Aviators. While my baseball resume might not be as impressive as some, I think you'll find my love for the game and my abilities to work with young baseball players will have you convinced I'm fit for the job. I require my players to be respectful, have a positive attitude, and give 100% effort whenever they are on the field. I'm looking forward to getting this organization moving and see nothing but a bright future ahead for these players.
